Maximizing Student Learning with Multimedia Assignments

Event Description:

This workshop, presented by Media Resources Librarian Andrew Horbal, will discuss how to create effective multimedia assignments to maximize student learning. Topics which will be explored include:

  • Why to create multimedia assignments
  • Establishing learning objectives and expectations for the final product
  • Developing a timeline/incorporating the assignment into the course
  • Providing students with the skills and support they need to be successful
  • Evaluating multimedia assignments
  • What to do when the class is over

 This workshop is designed to appeal to total novices, old hands, and everyone in between.
