Note: The Foundations course is the pre-requisite for this session.  The one-time fee of $100 for the Foundations course gives you access to all sessions, materials, workbook, and learning tools.

Foundations is your first session and a prerequisite for all future Fierce Conversations sessions.  Your one-time fee of $100.00 gives you access to all sessions, materials, workbook, and learning tools.

Foundations will help you:

- Undo old assumptions, spark new insights, and lay the groundwork for transformation across your team, group, or department

Location Information:

Fierce Conversations sessions will be held via Zoom Meeting. Your facilitator will send a Zoom invitation two days prior to the session. The invitation will include handouts that you will need to have available (printed or on screen) during the session.

You may find yourself in a waiting room when you click on the link to join the meeting. The facilitator will let you into the virtual classroom up to five minutes before the scheduled start time.

PLEASE NOTE: This session will be facilitated online via Zoom. Registrants will be sent a link to join the online session at least 24-hours prior to the start of the session. 
This session is a follow-up to the self-paced PRD training recommended for all staff. The training focuses on UMD's performance and development process including tools, tips and resources for engaging in the process. Learners will also review the PRD cycle which includes expectation setting, midway feedback, final review meetings, and the self-assessment tool. **All UMD employees should plan to complete the training and submit any follow-up questions. You must complete the 20-minute self-paced training in order to attend this session.

The monthly PHR training is required to gain access to the Payroll Human Resources (PHR) System. The training will consist of learning how to insert employee demographics, create employee appointments, gain knowledge about pay adjustments, and create time entry adjustments. 

After completion of the mandatory training, each user will then have access to the specific modules the department has given security access to.

In light of the recent shift to a remote environment, the Division of IT has launched a service
 which offers an alternative to paper based forms. Instead of completing and signing forms by hand, Adobe Sign allows users to complete and approve forms electronically. Come learn about this new service and how it can help you!
